On my recent trip to Europe I was lucky enough to spend five days in Paris. My favorite of those five days was taking the train out to Versailles where I spent the entire day exploring the beautiful palace and getting lost in the enchanting gardens. If you want to feel like you’ve escaped from the outside world and are in a disney movie, the palace of Versailles is the place to do it. The gardens alone are so vast that you can opt to rent a golf cart or ride bikes to get around. I highly recommend riding bikes since the golf cart has to stay on a specific path. It’s hard to describe the beauty and sereneness of such a vast place. It’s something that should truly be experienced first hand. They’re are a lot of tourists that visit the palace but a vast majority of them stick to the main palace and the upper part of the gardens. If you go deeper into the gardens and venture over to the Chateau Petit (small palace) you can get lost for hours. We explored on our bikes for over an hour without seeing another person. I opted to wear a simple pair or white jeans, comfy Rebecca Minkoff sandals, and a pink ruffle top from Revolve. Make sure to check the weather before hand, we got rained on and had to buy last minute umbrellas! Wear comfortable shoes and get lost in the magic of Versailles, with hidden fountains and cafe’s around every corner your imagination can go wild.
